Description

The principal objective in using solar energy is to reduce the rate of depletion of nonrenewable sources of energy. The principal objective in load management is leveling the power demand on a utility system with respect to time. Thermal storage can be used to accomplish both solar energy use and load management in a given system. However, care must be taken in the use of thermal storage in a solar heating/load management system to insure that the two functions are accomplished compatibly.

This paper discusses the principal objective in using solar energy is to reduce the rate of depletion of nonrenewable sources of energy.
