Separating the V in HVAC: A Dual-Path Approach

Description

In a typical conventional HVAC system, outside ventilation air is mixed with return or recirculation air. Then, this mixed airstream is conditioned over a set of heating or cooling and dehumidification coils before being delivered to the space. A majority of the supplied air is returned to the unit, where it is mixed with fresh outdoor ventilation/makeup air (to replace the exhausted air), and the mixed airstream is reconditioned and delivered back to the space.
