NO-94-24-1 — Single-Pipe Hydronic System Design and Load-Matched Pumping

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1994

Category:

Description

The design procedure outlined reintroduces the cost benefits, ease of installation, and commissioning of single pipe systems. The selection and installation of load-matched variable-speed circulators to each terminal provides for individual control of coil delta T and of the overall system. This unique concept is energy-efficient and is equally applicable to the heating and cooling requirements of any size or combination of buildings , providing an alternative system design method to the current design practice of using direct, or reverse return, two-pipe arrangements employing control valves.

KEYWORDS: pumping, one pipe water heating, designing.
