LA-2582 — In-Situ Measurements of Residential Energy Performance Using Electric Co-Heating

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1980

Category:

Description

Electric co-heating is an experimental technique to measure net heat gain from heat sources in a dwelling or net heat loss from heat sinks and other loss mechanisms. In this paper we report measurements of the efficiency of a heating system, of a fireplace, and of an air conditioner. It can also be applied to measure total building envelope performance or to measure the load response to a step increase in air infiltration rate. Some of these applications have been described previously.
