Description
Proper ventilation design is critical for healthcare facilities to ensure they are balancing the needs of infection control, energy conservation and reduced HVAC maintenance. Applying the principles of directional airflow, combined with filtration and sanitation techniques, is an effective way to reduce the spread of disease and Healthcare Associated Infections. This paper will describe problems with existing industry airflow control methods and explore alternative methods designed to ensure the highest level of patient safety and efficiency.
