AN-92-09-3 — Numerical Prediction of Horizontal Nonisothermal 3-D Jet in Room Based on Algebraic Second-Moment Closure Model

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1992

Category:

Description

The three-dimensional nonisothermal jet in a room is analysed numerically by the algebraic second-moment closure model (ASM) (Hossain and Rodi 1982). The numerical results are compared with experimental results and with a simulation based on the k-epsilon model. It is demonstrated that ASM reproduces the nonisothermal flow fields more precisely than the k-epsilon model does.
