Description
Describes a wholesale market building 180m x 540m x 28m (590ft x 1770ft x 92ft) designed to make use of natural ventilation to save energy and also to be maintenance-free. During the building design stage, model experiments and numerical analyses were conducted and the ventilation system and building shape best suited to natural ventilation were selected. States that after the building was constructed, the ventilation characteristics of the indoor space were verified by field tests. Finds the results agree well with those of the model experiments.
