3824 (RP-623) — A Field Test Method for Determining Exhaust Rates in Grease Hoods for Commercial Kitchens (RP-623)

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1994

Category:

Description

Describes the method, developed by correlating an average velocity measured near the filter face of the hood exhaust inlet to AMCA-210 standard measured exhaust rates. The method consists of measuring an average velocity at the filter face of the exhaust inlet and then applying a k-factor correction term to determine the exhaust rate. States the exhaust rates determined using the k-factor method are accurate to within 7% of the AMCA-210 measured reference exhaust rates.
