Description
Reports the results for sealed tube tests of new, used and recycled refrigerants. The operating conditions of the sampled systems ranged from normal operating systems to systems experiencing motor burnouts. Finds that the chemical stabilities of the recycled refrigerants were similar to the stabilities of their respective new refrigerants. Recycling also reduced the corrosiveness of the used refrigerants and lubricating oils. Concludes that recycling is essential if recovered refrigerant is to be reused.
