Description
Describes an experimental study of the flow pattern in a high-ceilinged space. Explores the technique of supplying the air from one side of the ceiling and returning it at the other end. Flow visualisation and velocity measurements were carried out on a 1/5 scale model. States that implementation of this technique on a prototype has shown that results of the model studies were representative of actual conditions. Concludes that this provides an alternative solution to the traditional approach of having ducts and returns distributed over the ceiling.
