Description
The cGMP Cell Therapy Processing Facility (CTPF) built for Northwestern University in Chicago includes innovative technology for manufacturing cells and tissue for use in regenerative medicine. This article explains how engineering design concepts can improve efficiency, reduce energy use and maintain the critical conditions needed in the cleanroom. This is an ASHRAE Technology Award.
