Description
Some HVAC systems could consume significantly less energy by providing at least two streams of chilled water at temperatures appropriate to the desired cooling task. This column discusses a New York City chilled water system design that can generate water at a low temperature for dehumidification and at a higher temperature for sensible cooling.
