Description
The expansion of St. Johns School in Montreal, a moderate-size public elementary and high school includes a geothermal loop to treat fresh air and supply a radiant floor system. A special feature is a solar wall that provides renewable energy, preheats air and doubles the R-value of the wall. The new building uses less than half (45%) of the grid energy than a standard construction, and greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced by 45 tons per year.
