Discusses four evaporative cooling concepts that have been successfully applied in large systems and notes the associated cooling and energy savings. States the paper represents an overview of previously published work. Maintains these savings can provide a significant contribution toward meeting the proposed Tier 1 energy savings requirement of ASHRAE Standard 90.1-1989R.
