3126 — Thermally Induced Pressure Distribution in Simulated Tall Buildings with Floor Partitions

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1988

Category:

Description

A study has been carried out, both experimentally and analytically, on the characteristics of thermal effect in high-rise buildings, considering interactions of floor partitions and exterior openings by using a simulated model building with five floors and a number of exterior openings. The effects of the parameters affecting pressure distributions were investigated with a variety of openings of floors and exterior walls and temperature differences between inside and outside. The results of the study show that for the prediction of thermal effect in high-rise buildings with floor partitions, a nondimensional parameter representing the ratio of floor opening to exterior opening areas has a dominant role.
