HO-2681– Development of a Vaporizing Burner for an Air-Conditioning Unit Ventilator

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1982

Category:

Description

Vaporizing burners have many attractive features for home heating application. At the American Petroleum Institute (API), pioneering efforts were devoted to developing vaporizing burners for number-two heating oil as a replacement for the low-pressure atomizing gun burner. 1

This paper will present a newly designed vaporizing burner that uses a horizontal firing system instead of the conventional pot-type burner or premixed- type burner. The performance of the burner operation, which is combined with an air-conditioning unit ventilator, also will be verified.
