3728 — Experimental Measurement of Heat Transfer Phenomena in a Solid Adsorbent

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1993

Category:

Description

Describes the results of a detailed study of heat-transfer phenomena in SAHP (solid adsorbent heat pump) beds. The experimental work tested a simplified model of the SAHP heat exchanger in which the temperature gradients within the adsorbent were only in the radial direction from a heated tube surface. The theoretical work used a simple numerical model to predict the heat transfer between the heated tubes of the experimental model. The experimental and theoretical results are then compared, and the theoretical assumptions are evaluated in this light.
