3324 — Control Method of a Cooling Apparatus in Low Outdoor Temperatures

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1990

Category:

Description

Discusses an air-cooling-type cooling apparatus which cools a telephone exchange having high heat generation throughout the year. Also, it discusses control methods in low outdoor air temperatures. If the cooling apparatus is operated by a conventional control method, the electric power used by the compressor in low outdoor air temperatures is as great as that in high outdoor air temperatures. The cooling apparatus, which is operated by a new control method, employs a condensing pressure control valve having a capacity larger than a conventional valve. By using the new control method, the cooling apparatus operates economically when the outdoor air temperature is low.

KEYWORDS: outdoor air, outdoor temperature, cooling, condensers, pressure reducing valves, valves, superheaters, controls, air coolers, telephone exchanges, air conditioning.
