Description

The outdoor thermal environment represented by the urban heat island phenomenon has deteriorated in recent years due to changes in land cover and increases in the release of artificial heat that accompanies urbanization. In this paper, in order to clarify the influence of sensible heat flux from walls and the artificial heat release from buildings to the outdoor thermal environment in the summer, 1) the impact factor indices of individual buildings themselves and the artificial heat release to the outdoor thermal environment are developed, and 2) these impact factor indices are examined in five different locations demonstrating artificial heat release and different building block patterns using a coupled simulation of convection, radiation, and conduction.
