Description
AWPA A4-17 describes acceptable methods for obtainingrepresentative samples of wood preservatives under mostphases of shipment, storage and use. Since samples mayhave to be obtained under varying conditions, it may benecessary or advisable to depart from the sampling routinesdescribed in this Standard. Good judgment, skill andexperience are required to obtain representative samples inunique circumstances. It should always be remembered,however, that it is essential to obtain a sample or acomposite of several samples in such a manner and fromsuch locations that the sample or composite is trulyrepresentative of the material being sampled.
